More great writing!

We are getting really good at using our word cards to help us spell harder words.  Today we wrote stories about Jesus.  I was impressed with the ideas and the way everyone was stretching out their ideas, I know that is a goal for a lots of you.  Well done.

Nice work on writing your numbers up to 100 Lucas, and Henry, I love your dinosaur picture.  I am always amazed at how the children amuse themselves when they are not working with Miss Ryan or myself.

Congrats to Lika for moving up a level on Lexia, here he is showing his mum the certificate he got from Mrs Kemp.

Finally, here is the fabulous Samuel reading his story to the class.  We had a sparrow come visit in the classroom this afternoon and it prompted him to grab this book from his book box and share the story with the class.  You showed great reading skills and bravery reading in front of the class.

Thanks for another great day Room 18.

Writing

Room 18 is full of amazing writers.

WEEK 6

Howdy,
Enjoying the rain are we??  A bit of a gloomy weekend. Roman and I (and Buddy) are snuggled up in front of the fire:)
If you are like me and are suffering from hayfever, the rain is a welcome rest from that dreaded pollen.

Our week ahead is looking like this...
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are pretty normal.

Thursday
Go4it with Tim.  Bring your PE gear

Friday
We will be attending a Parish Mass at St.Mary's Church.
Please feel free to come and join us, we would love some parents or grandparents to come along with us.  It will be the beginning of our Church strand for RE.

Golden Time-we will be having a Jesus inspired lunch.

During the middle morning block we will be making bread-a mess in the making for sure and then we will be hopefully eating that bread along with other food that Jesus ate when he was alive.  If you would like to donate some flour, fruit, honey, figs, or dates for our lunch that would be great.  Don't stress too much though.  The sausage sizzle is still going ahead.  It will be cool to compare how we eat today with how Jesus ate when he was a little critter:)

See you all tomorrow.

Well done Lika
A big congrats to Lika for moving up to Yellow on the rocket.  Well done you!!! Keep doing your Lexia and reading at home-a big thanks to your cousin Kim who has been helping you out.

Plastic Bag Appeal
Our Young Vinnies are collecting plastic grocery bags.
The senior school leaders will come around and pick them up on Friday afternoon.

This is to support an inmate who is knitting plastic bags to help the needy.

Please support this worthy cause, bring in all your plastic bags.  We will have a box by the door for you to drop them in.

See you all tomorrow:)
